MACNA 2014

MACNA 2014 News Setup Day is now complete and the show is ready to go. Everyone had a lot of fun and worked hard during setup. The venue looks great and the team from the Colorado Organization for Reef & Aquatic Life (CORAL) have outdone themselves. Here are some behind the scenes photos to keep you entertained. We will be back with more photos later today and all through the show. Let us know if there is something that you would like to see and we will do our best to get you a picture or some more info about it. Here is our booth in the making.     
 Here is a picture of Dirk from Dirk’s reef setting up at MACNA. Many of you have seen him at your local frag swap and probably purchased something from him.  
 Earnest Bell did all of our Aquascaping using Real Rock. Here is Earnest working hard, then a picture of Gareth from Real Reef with his family, as you can see they are expecting another little one and we wish them all the best. If you haven’t seen their newest version of Real Reef you really need to check it out. The product looks phenomenal.
Check out this tower displaying the awesome power of the Abyzz pumps. It’s in the Schuran booth where Meneeka Gurroby, one of the speakers at MACNA this year is working. She will be our neighbor throughout the show and is so full of sunshine every time that she goes by our booth. J

The Two Little Fishies team with Julian Sprung is also one of our neighbors. “We have one L of a booth!!!!” says Julian Sprung.


    

Here’s what is happening in the Unique Corals booth with Joe Caparrata, Scott Fellman and Dave Botwin. Apparently they believe in taking breaks. This awesome team is using our new Atlantik
Pendant over their corals for the show.
  

Lou and Victor from World Wide Corals appear to be running an invitation only booth with this awesome 4 walled structure and booth complete with leather seating and a lounge atmosphere. We hope we can get past the velvet ropes and security to see some of their highly prized corals.  

There may be a head to head shootout with Reef Frenzy and Rod’s foods in the near future, both are on hand to talk about their foods. Larry from LRS Reef Frenzy is a great friend of ours and we wanted to give him a big shoutout and hope that he can tell us his big secret soon!!!!!

The gang from Carolina Aquatics brought the heat with some seriously hot acan colonies, plate corals and other colonies. Stop by to meet Earnest, Kris and Kacy. They even brought along a Clarion Angel .

Orphek booth at MACNA 2014  almost ready , still has lots work to do !  

Orphek has Arrived in Denver, Let the Show Begin Orphek is now busy setting up their booth at MACNA 2014.  There are lots of goodies in those boxes to show to MACNA attendees this year.  Make it a point to stop by our booth and see our new Atlantik Pendant, and Atlantik Compact demonstrations.  And don’t forget to take a good look at our new state of the art Helix 5000 Protein Skimmer featuring a controllable DC motor delivering a whopping 6,500 liters per gallon.

DAY 2  30/08/2014

WOW, what a day it was for DAY 2 of MACNA in the Mile High City of Denver. The day began early for the Orphek team getting the booth ready before the show opening.

We had a lot of visitors come by the booth and check out the Atlantiks. It’s hard to believe it but we may not have brought enough stock to sell. J The azurelites continue to fly out and there will be some facebook contests later today for you to win one for yourself, so keep checking back.

Demo’s of the Atlantik always draw a crowd. People are excited to see the science behind the design and understand how to the use the lights effectively. The Orphek booth is all about teaching.

Now….on to the pictures that everyone wants to see.





Many have been stopping by to see us here in the mile high city. MACNA is in full swing, Hope you come to see us.

Jared Goldenberg from Fluid Dynamics International stopped by for a visit and to check out the new Atlantik Pendant. Jared has used the DIF unit for years in his installations and is looking forward to working with the new pendant replacement.

Jorge from Reefers Cove and his wife brought some serious frags with them. Be sure to visit there store back in the LA area for great corals and all of the Orphek products as well.



Carolina Aquatics

Carolina Aquatics has the best looking corals in the show, we know it’s because of the Atlantik Pendant Super Actinics that they are using. Plus you get to meet this crazy girl Kacy.
